1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), including any Member login area, giving/donation pages, or linked virtual services (such as our Zoom worship stream), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors, members, and anyone else who accesses the Site.

2. About This Site

This Site is provided by Hope Bible Fellowship, a church community located in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The Site is intended to share information about our worship services, beliefs, announcements, and community life, and to provide members and visitors with ways to connect, worship (in person or virtually), and give.

Nothing on this Site should be understood as legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

Certain areas of the Site (for example, the Members section) may require you to log in or create an account. If you create an account, you agree to:

  • provide accurate and current information;

  • keep your login credentials confidential and secure; and

  • notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms.

If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

4. Online Giving and Donations

The Site provides a link to make online donations through Zeffy, a third-party donation-processing platform, as well as information about giving by cash or check in person. By making a donation through Zeffy or any linked third-party platform, you also agree to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which govern the collection and processing of your payment information. Hope Bible Fellowship does not itself collect or store your payment card or bank account details.

  • Voluntary and final. Donations are voluntary gifts. Except where required by law or at our sole discretion, donations are non-refundable.

  • Receipts. Automated email receipts generated by our donation platform may not be valid for tax purposes. Official year-end tax receipts are available upon request; please contact us directly (see Section 12).

  • Designated gifts. Where the giving platform allows you to leave a note designating a gift for a particular purpose, we will make reasonable efforts to honor that designation but do not guarantee a specific use of funds, consistent with our governing documents and applicable law.

  • No guarantee of processing. We are not responsible for delays, errors, or interruptions caused by the third-party payment processor, your financial institution, or your internet connection.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to the Site;

  • upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or anything designed to disrupt the Site;

  • harvest or collect personal information about other users or members without their consent;

  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; or

  • post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access to any user who violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, the text, graphics, logos, sermon recordings, and other materials on the Site (excluding Scripture, which we do not claim to own) are the property of Hope Bible Fellowship or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and share materials from the Site for personal, non-commercial, and ministry-related purposes (for example, sharing a sermon link), provided you do not modify the content and you retain any copyright or attribution notices. Any other use — including reproduction for commercial purposes — requires our prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as Zeffy, Zoom, or social media pages) that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and including a link does not imply our endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk and should review their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content on the Site, including announcements or event information, and recommend confirming time-sensitive details directly with us.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hope Bible Fellowship, its leaders, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, any donation made through a linked third-party platform, or any third-party service linked from the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
